FDA pulls food products over salmonella concerns

The Food and Drug Administration has recalled food products that contain an additive known as hydrolyzed vegetable protein amid concerns that the compound might have been tainted with salmonella. The contamination was discovered last month, and the agency confirmed that it has not received any reports of illnesses linked to contaminated HVP, which was manufactured by Basic Food Flavors.
