Study pinpoints FDG uptake in those who had H1N1 flu shots

Greek researchers who studied FDG uptake in 10 patients who recently had an H1N1 flu shot and were referred for PET/CT scans found that those vaccinated five to 12 days prior to the scans showed the highest FDG uptake in the lymph nodes. The researchers said this potential difficulty in PET/CT should be considered in the implementation of vaccination programs.
