Ore. leads states in physician EHR adoption

Oregon has the nation's highest physician EHR adoption rate at 41%, followed by Georgia, Florida, Washington and Virginia, according to a nationwide survey of 5,105 physicians conducted by Doctors Company. Some doctors who have implemented meaningful-use-compliant EHRs reported that the automation of medical records had provided little practical benefit. "Eventually, the EHR will help," said an Oregon doctor. "It's not there yet. Very cumbersome."
