Taxicab firm in Florida powers fleet with propane autogas

The Southwest Florida Transportation Group has converted 40% of its 80-vehicle taxi fleet to a bi-fuel system that enables the vehicles to run on both propane autogas and gasoline. "With the fluctuating gas prices and the changes in the economy we found it best to switch to a large portion of our fleet over to propane," said Michael Griffin, the company's manager. The company said it plans to eventually transition its entire fleet to the bi-fuel system.
