USDA official talks nutrition guidelines with students

Kevin Concannon, U.S. Department of Agriculture undersecretary for food, nutrition and consumer services, recently visited a Pennsylvania middle school to discuss the new federal school nutrition guidelines. Some students expressed concern that the healthier foods would not taste as good and that cookies and other such foods no longer would be available. Other students, however, said they were eager to have access to more nutritious food, such as salads.
