Getting sustainability right is difficult because "everybody's got opinions, but most of us don't have really great facts," says Kim Jeffrey, former CEO of Nestlé Waters North America. That makes it hard to plan effective strategies or to promote them. "Things we do that we think are intuitively right, sometimes have the reverse impact from an environmental standpoint," Jeffrey says.
