RFA welcomes nomination of McCarthy as next EPA chief

The Renewable Fuels Association and other biofuel industry groups welcomed President Barack Obama's nomination of Gina McCarthy as the next administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. McCarthy, who leads the EPA's air and radiation office, "knows the EPA inside and out and has typically approached challenges with a common-sense determination to resolve them in a timely manner," said Bob Dinneen, RFA president and CEO. Dinneen also said the industry is looking forward to meeting Ernest Moniz, Obama's choice for secretary of energy.
