Drones mean fierce competition for electromagnetic spectrum

The increasingly crowded electromagnetic spectrum is likely to be even more highly sought after as drones enter the market, say experts, as the spectrum is needed for drone operators to control the unmanned aircraft. New technologies may enable drones to share spectrum space, says the Pentagon's newly released Electromagnetic Spectrum Strategy.
