Obama's passenger fee increase proposal falls short, airport execs say

President Barack Obama wants to double the passenger facility charge added to tickets to $8 per ticket but the airport executives say $8.50 would be a more appropriate amount to meet future needs. "With federal investment in our nation's airport system declining and facing further constraints, airports desperately need additional tools locally to meet current requirements and to prepare for future demand," said Todd Hauptli, president of American Association of Airport Executives.
