LA. School District Salaries Soar During Superintendent Romer's Tenure

A survey by the Daily News finds that more than 1,000 Los Angeles schools' employees make six-figure incomes, compared with just 23 five years ago. Four district employees make in excess of $200,000, with superintendent Roy Romer heading the list at $250,000. The school board says high salaries are needed to attract top talent.
