More buildings expected to get green accreditation

The U.S. Green Building Council expects to accredit between 10 and 20 buildings in 2004 under its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program, the head of the program said. Two buildings have been accredited so far, National Geographic Society's headquarters in Washington, D.C. and California's EPA building in Sacramento, and 12 more applications are pending.
