Construction to pick up in St. Paul region

While the pace of new construction slowed in some parts of the St. Paul, Minn., area, things should pick up again with the suburb of Inver Grove Heights opening up more than 3,000 acres to development. As many as 7,500 new homes are expected to be built in a 5-square-mile area, however construction likely won't start until 2007.
