Studies say GSK bird flu vaccine able to kill multiple strains

A pair of studies show GlaxoSmithKline's prepandemic flu vaccine appears to work against multiple strains of the H5N1 bird flu virus. Although the vaccine was based on just one strain, the studies said the drug provides cross-immunity by recognizing and killing a different strain.
