Indiana city switches from diesel-powered mowers to propane

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management is offering a free environmental audit to cities across the state, helping them find ways to reduce their carbon footprint, cut down on waste and save money. Cities that take part in the program get extra points on grant applications, as well as reducing their threshold for matching funds. Michigan City followed up on its audit by planting hundreds of trees and switching to propane-powered mowers to cut down on diesel exhaust.
