Cable providers contemplate an FTTP future

While there's still a lot of work ahead, cable companies such as Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox and Rogers Communications are beginning to evaluate fiber-to-the-premises technologies in earnest, according to new industry research. Despite the depressed housing market, Time Warner Cable and Cox already have issued separate requests for proposals on work related to FTTP architectures.
