FTC cracks down on stimulus scams

The FTC is calling on Web publishers to ferret out ads purporting to supply an inside track on grants related to the federal economic stimulus package. Eileen Harrington, acting director of the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection, said the agency is asking "online media companies to monitor their sites for scam ads and get rid of them."
