Ashok Leyland invests in joint venture with Deere

Ashok Leyland Ltd., India's second-largest truck and bus maker by sales, plans to invest $656.4 million during the next three years to boost its commercial-vehicles business through joint ventures with Nissan Motor and John Deere Ltd. Ashok Leyland hopes to capitalize on the demand for the commercial vehicles as the country moves to improve infrastructure and highways.
