Protesters rally across Calif., U.S. against school-funding cuts

Thousands of people rallied at California schools, colleges and universities and other locations to protest cuts to public education. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and the state's legislature have cut billions of dollars in state aid for K-12 schools and higher education. The events were billed as a national Day of Action for Public Education and similar protests organized by unions and student-government groups were held nationwide.
