TALF rekindles ABS demand, flow of credit

The Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility has facilitated sales of more than $100 billion in asset-backed bonds during the past year, helping to spur demand and revive the flow of credit. William Dudley, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, said the part of TALF that supported securities backed by consumer loans managed to turn a profit.
