BNSF partners with Maersk on "unprecedented" sea-rail service

BNSF is partnering with Maersk for a "Flagship Service" deal that would depend on the Class I's service to ship products from Asia to five key U.S. markets. The business venture aims to complete deliveries with a 95% on-time performance rate, a first for the sea-rail type of service, according to the two companies. "We look forward to delivering the best on-time performance levels and service reliability to help shippers achieve superior supply chain performance," said Steve Branscum, BNSF group vice president of Consumer Products Marketing.
