Study: Polyphenols may prevent neurodegenerative diseases

Consuming foods rich in polyphenols, including olive oil, may prevent neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Spanish researchers found. The study in the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease found that olive oil was tied to better scores in verbal memory tests, while nuts and moderate wine consumption improved overall cognitive function.
