More than 100 unregistered contractors work on storm repairs in N.J.

Almost 20% of the contractors working in three counties in New Jersey on repairs to damage caused by Superstorm Sandy are not registered with the state, according to inspectors from the Division of Consumer Affairs. Unregistered contractors will be given a warning first, but fines could be levied if they repeat the violation. The state requires registration of all home-improvement contractors.
