SNA seeks relief from simultaneous changes to breakfast, lunch

The School Nutrition Association is asking members of Congress to delay the implementation of new standards for school breakfasts because school nutrition professionals already are making changes to lunches. The School Nutrition Association also is seeking direction from the U.S. Department of Agriculture on how to address families who accrue meal debt -- sometimes requiring nutrition professionals to determine whether to provide a meal for students.
