Another infant with HIV may have been cured after receiving early treatment

A 9-month-old infant from California who was born with HIV and started receiving a three-drug cocktail of antiretroviral treatments just four hours after birth now appears to be free of the virus, scientists reported Wednesday at a medical conference. This is the second time an HIV-positive baby experienced remission after very early treatment.
