Fla. municipal airport to go private when upgrades are complete

The City of Marianna, Fla., is spending more than $1 million to upgrade its municipal airport, and the city is interested in leasing out the property to a private company. "A for-profit company has a lot more incentive to grow and expand than a government" entity does, said Jim Dean, city manager. The city spends about $200,000 a year to run the airport.
