Why sales managers are so critical for success

Sales managers may not get as much credit as company leaders or front-line salespeople, but they play a tremendous role in moving a company forward, writes Jim Keenan. That's because managers act as "the conduit between senior management and the feet on the street," Keenan writes. "It's the managers who do the implementing, who actually make sure things are getting done." Effective managers have to be influential individuals who can deal with stressful working conditions, he writes.
