Australia will purchase 24 Super Hornets

The Australian government said Tuesday it will buy 24 advanced Super Hornet fighter bombers for $4.6 billion. The aircraft is built by Boeing, Northrop Grumman, GE Aircraft Engines and Raytheon. Australia is transitioning to Lockheed Martin's F-35 Lightning Joint Strike Fighter over the next decade.
