Cessna's Columbus jet-production facility a boon for contractors

Wichita, Kan.-based Cessna Aircraft's production of its new Columbus business jet will bring some welcome construction activity to the city. Five construction contractors are competing to build a 600,000-square-foot final assembly building and 45,000-square-foot physical plant for the jet's production, and the total estimated cost for the project, including equipment, has been set at $200 million.
