The dinosaurs hiding in the chicken coop

Montana State University Professor Jack Horner is working to reverse-engineer a dinosaur by tweaking the genes of the common chicken. Horner and his team of scientists are using gene therapies to revive several now-dormant traits that modern chickens inherited from their dino ancestors. Horner says the project is more than just a work of scientific curiosity, noting that some of the team's discoveries could lead to gene therapies for human use.
