Improving customer service amid cutbacks

As retailers are forced to cut staff, customer service can suffer. But several retailers, including Wal-Mart and Home Depot, are making an effort to improve customer service. "Price leadership is an important factor, but you have to give customers a good shopping experience," a Wal-Mart spokesman said.
