EU mulls legislation to promote equality in management

The European Commission is considering legislative action to promote top-tier management jobs for women as businesses across the European Union have been slow to address gender inequality concerns. Currently, one in seven board members in Europe's top companies are women, but with the current rate of gain it would be over four decades before a gender balance could be achieved without regulation, the EC says.
