How to boost music education with project-based learning

Educational consultant Andrew Miller in this blog post advocates using project-based learning as part of music education as a way to enhance lessons and further increase the value of the subject as part of the curriculum. To do this, he suggests teachers take a close look at music-education standards, particularly the skills and concepts they contain. Teachers then must create learning contexts that engage all students, and then assess students through performance or other methods, he writes.
