IPad app, EMR help physicians make quick heart attack diagnosis

Doctors who used an iPad app to access EMRs were able to act quickly to save the life of Minneapolis rehab nurse Andy McMonigle, who was having a heart attack at a Mayo Clinic gym. Physicians were able to look at EKG data from a past heart attack to confirm their diagnosis. McMonigle was sent straight to a cath lab to have a blood clot removed from an artery that was 90% blocked.
