Rising out-of-home ad revenue reaches $6.4 billion

Out-of-home advertising revenue increased 4% in 2011 year over year, landing at $6.4 billion, the highest total since 2008, according to the Outdoor Advertising Association of America. Miscellaneous services and amusements led media spending at $1.1 billion, while schools, camps and seminars showed the largest percentage increase, up 22.4%.
