Salaries among recent college graduates decline

While the economy overall has begun to improve, recent data show wages for recent college graduates have declined. The hourly wage for recent male graduates dropped by 11% in the past decade, and wages for female graduates dipped by 7.6%. The wage issue has caused some students to reconsider their plans after college. "Students are realizing that they might need to take a stepping-stone job as opposed to that dream job," said Amy Bittner, a career counselor.
