Unemployment rate falls faster than economists expected

Joblessness is dropping more quickly than many forecasters, including the Federal Reserve, anticipated, and at least one economist says it could be down to 7.6% by the end of the year. Although the economy is creating jobs faster than it did in the fall, some economists say the unemployment rate has declined largely because millions of Americans have given up hope of finding work and have stopped looking for jobs.
