Industry seeks TSCA focused on exposure limitation, not bans

The chemical industry is advocating for legislation that would change the focus of the Toxic Substances Control Act to a safety standard that assesses "exposure based on intended use," says Terry Medley of DuPont. The American Chemistry Council said it backs reform "that ensures the safety of a chemical for its intended use. This includes consideration of hazard, use and exposure information as well as appropriate safety factors."
