Nestle Strikes $500 Million Deal With IBM

Nestle has signed a five-year deal with International Business Machines for an information technology backbone, IBM announced today. As a cost-cutting measure, Nestle is planning to consolidate its 100-plus information technology operations around the world into five data centers. The world's largest consumer food group expects the centralization effort to help the company automate tasks.
