Study: More than milk needed for healthy bones

Dairy foods may not be the best source of calcium to promote healthy bones, according to researchers at Harvard and Cornell universities. Their studies dispute the long-held notion that increased dairy consumption is sufficient to protect against osteoporosis in old age. But a spokeswoman for a dairy industry group said there is overwhelming evidence that calcium from dairy foods contributes to bone health.
