Chiquita aims to raise profits one banana at a time

Chiquita plans to boost its profits in North America by selling its bananas in single servings as a snack food in convenience stores, coffee shops and drugstores. The Cincinnati-based company has found a way to keep bananas fresh longer so they do not have to be sold only in bunches at the supermarket.
