Demand remains strong for summer flights to Europe

Airlines have added many new routes between the U.S. and European cities, and robust demand is keeping fares high. Total available seat capacity for nonstops from the continental U.S. to Europe will rise 8% this summer from year-ago levels. "Usually when an airline has a new route it has a humdinger of a sale, but we're not seeing that yet," says Terry Trippler, an airline expert with the online travel agency myvacationpassport.com.
