Study: High drug prices a factor in organ transplant failures

Researchers say high drug prices may be a factor in the failure of some organ transplant cases. Most children and adolescents who have received a transplant do well up to the one-year mark, but after that the costs of immune-suppressing drugs can become too great a burden for patients and their families, said researchers at the St. Louis University School of Medicine.
