Viacom CEO says company had to get tough with YouTube

Viacom CEO Philippe Dauman said his company had to yank unauthorized video clips from Google-owned YouTube because it cost Viacom advertising revenue and made some advertisers leery. Viacom, which owns MTV, Comedy Central and Nickelodeon cable networks, recently struck a deal with YouTube rival Joost.
