Maybank likely to become buyer of Temasek's BII stake

Malayan Banking, eager to enter the Indonesian market, will likely win the bid for Temasek's stake in Bank Internasional Indonesia, according to another bidder. The competitor says Maybank is prepared to pay a high price for the holding to compete with Bumiputra-Commerce, a Malaysian rival. The deal is expected to be worth about $800 million.
