Report: UN's poverty goals elusive because of gender inequality

The United Nations' Millennium Development Goals on poverty are unlikely to be met by their 2015 target date because much of the world continues to discriminate against women and girls, ActionAid reports. The British charity network urged governments to do more to address the fact that females tend to be more stuck in poverty, hunger and illiteracy than males.
