Senate urged to support energy tax credits

More than 100 manufacturers, retailers, trade and environmental groups have joined together to urge the Senate to extend renewable energy tax credits that are set to expire at the end of the year. The coalition says the tax credits help increase demand for energy-efficient products, create jobs and boost the economy. "Congress and the administration should seize this opportunity to support this high-growth sector," said Rhone Resch, president of the Solar Energy Industries Association.
