Study: BSGI proves cost-effective in breast diagnoses

A study at Solis Bertrand Breast Center in Greensboro, N.C., showed that breast-specific gamma imaging is a cost-effective and useful addition to breast diagnostics, according to a Dilon Technologies news release. After studying the use of a gamma camera, a researcher said BSGI "is very important now in my decision of whether or not to biopsy when the mammogram, ultrasound, and physical exam are inconclusive."
