Educators blend technology with expeditionary learning method

A Portland, Maine, high school has adopted a teaching method known as expeditionary learning -- a type of project-based learning that emphasizes collaboration and community-based learning. Technology is a key component of student learning at the school. For one project, students interviewed people who had been homeless and used laptops to create and narrate multimedia slide shows that will be exhibited at a gallery.
