Too many stars can diminish a company's shine

Having too many star-caliber employees can actually curb a company's performance, a Harvard Business School study of more than 6,000 analysts in 246 Wall Street firms suggests. An excess of stars promotes a culture where analysts balk at sharing information and focus on individual status rather than the performance of the group, the research suggests.
