Angie Myung and Ted Vadakan began making laminated-paper wallets as a cheap way to promote their friends' art. When a first gallery show sold out, the couple moved in with relatives and made Poketo their full-time calling. Every design is a limited edition of about 300, and sales hit $500,000 last year. "Poketo has given us a platform to support the art community that we didn't have when we were artists," Vadakan said.
